GPR Metrics Tool

A GPR metrics tool is available for rice array users interested in generating quality metrics of their scanned arrays. This tool calculates several array quality metrics such as total spots, percentage missing spots, percentage bad spots, and average foreground and background intensities across the different channels.

To submit your GPR file(s) for assessment, follow the steps below:
  1. Login to the project ftp site by clicking on the following link using Internet Explorer (ftp://metrics:metrics@ftp.tigr.org) or logging in using your preferred ftp client to ftp://ftp.tigr.org with username: metrics and password: metrics.
  2. Set the transfer mode to binary (should be on by default) and upload the file(s) to analysed.
  3. Reload this page on your browser to refresh the file listing.
Select from the list below one or more GPR files to perform metrics assessment on. Multiple files may be selected by holding the ctrl key while selecting a file.

After running the analysis, you may delete your GPR files or leave them on the server to be deleted automatically after 7 days.

The source code (perl) of the analysis script is available for download (zip, 2k).

An overview of the headers for the GPR Metrics Tool is available.
